Arrived on time in Columbus last night. Liz and the boys were there at security with signs and cheerful faces. I was so glad to see them. We stayed the night at an airport hotel because the weather is really bad here. I’m glad. It was good to hit a bed rather than face a longer-than-usual, slippery drive home. It is still snowing heavily here, so we are debating timing for returning to Dayton.
On a down note, my bag that made it every step of the way somehow did not make it from Chicago to Columbus and, as of now, has not been found by AA. Hopefully it will show up soon.
I have a few more pictures to share and, since we are stuck in a hotel anyway, will see about ways to post some.

Now that you are back. . .
I gotta say, Tom has the WORST travel weather of anyone I know.
Today’s wsj:
“In Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio, nearly 300,000 homes and businesses were in the dark as ice and snow coated parts of the states. Ohio’s top Republican lawmaker, Senate President Bill Harris, slipped on ice outside a hotel near the Statehouse in Columbus, broke a leg and missed the governor’s State of the State address Wednesday.
Tracey Ramey of Waynesville, Ohio, a village about 20 miles southeast of Dayton, said her husband left for his job as a snow-plow operator late Monday with an overnight bag and hasn’t been able to return. He did call her Wednesday morning to caution her not to go to her data-entry job.
“He said, ‘There’s two inches of ice on the road and there’s no way you’re going to make it to work,’ ” she said.
Air travelers hunkered down at airports throughout the region…”
Welcome home Thomas!
